PANews reported on May 23 that, according to official data, in the seven days ending May 21, Circle issued approximately 8.1 billion USDC and redeemed approximately 7.7 billion USDC, increasing the circulating supply by approximately 400 million USDC. The total circulating supply of USDC is 76.9 billion USDC, with reserves of approximately $77.1 billion, including approximately $45.7 billion from overnight reverse repurchase agreements; approximately $18.6 billion from Treasury bonds with maturities of less than three months; approximately $12.2 billion from systemically important institution deposits; and approximately $600 million from other bank deposits.
The circulating supply of USDC has increased by approximately 400 million coins in the past 7 days.
