PANews reported on May 30th that, according to developer donnoh, the Base chain has experienced a vulnerability in a recent version upgrade, causing its network status update function to be interrupted for over 30 hours. Because the network itself has a 7-day withdrawal processing time, this outage went unnoticed for a long time.
This outage involved an anomaly in the state update layer, but it did not immediately affect users' withdrawal experience, causing the issue to go largely unnoticed for a period of time. Currently, the issue has sparked discussion in the community, with attention focused on its impact on on-chain data synchronization and operational monitoring mechanisms.
