PANews reported on June 10th that the public blockchain project Hyli has announced its closure and the discontinuation of future launch plans. The team stated that Hyli's core concept was leveraging zero-knowledge proofs (ZK) to improve blockchain performance. Over the past two years, they developed a complete full-node client from scratch, introduced the Autobahn BFT consensus mechanism, and implemented innovative support for ZK smart contracts, proving its ability to handle real-world user loads. However, in the current market environment, ZK has not achieved the expected adoption, and the team believes that Hyli no longer has a viable path to a formal release. Therefore, the project is being shut down at this stage, while the relevant code will continue to be preserved as open-source code on GitHub.
