바레인 중앙은행, JPM코인 시스템 테스트 완료

PYMNTS에 따르면 바레인 중앙은행이 JP모건의 JPM코인 시스템 테스트를 완료했다고 1월 5일(현지시간) 발표했다. 구체적으로 Bank ABC가 미국에서 알루미늄 업체인 알루미늄 바레인(ALBA)에 대한 실시간 지불을 시작할 수 있도록 하기 위해 JP모건 블록체인 및 디지털화폐 프로젝트 전담 부서 오닉스(Onyx)의 JPM코인 테스트를 완료했다. JPM코인은 참가자들이 JP모건에 예치한 달러를 이체할 수 있도록 지급 레일 및 예금계좌 렛저 역할을 하는 허가형 시스템이다. 바레인 중앙은행 총재 라시드 알 마라즈는 "ALBA, Bank ABC, 오닉스와의 협력을 통해 국가 간 결제 분야에 존재하는 비효율성과 문제점을 해결하길 바란다"고 말했다.
