Kerberus acquires Pocket Universe to advance crypto-specific antivirus software

PANews reported on August 21st that the crypto security platform Kerberus acquired Pocket Universe developer Refract for a seven-figure sum, with plans to develop dedicated crypto antivirus software to combat the growing malware attacks. Kerberus will integrate Pocket Universe with its security extension Sentinel3, expanding protection to all EVM chains and Solana, and will also begin developing the first crypto antivirus software.

Meanwhile, Pocket Universe founders Justin Phu and Nishan Samarasinghe will step back, and Ran Neuner will join Kerberus as a strategic advisor and distribution partner. Kerberus expects the initial version of the product to be available in about four months.
