PANews reported on November 6 that according to the Associated Press, the Republicans won 50 seats in the Senate and have a 99% chance of flipping control of the Senate.

Republicans won control of the U.S. Senate, securing at least a 51-49 majority with wins in West Virginia and Ohio, Reuters reported. The result will give Trump the ability to nominate conservative judges and administration personnel if he wins the presidential election, or block his agenda if Kamala Harris wins.

In the House of Representatives race, control remained undecided. Republicans gained three seats in North Carolina's redistricting, while Democrats won a newly drawn majority-black district in Alabama. Democrats need to flip at least six seats to take control of the House. Meanwhile, Delaware elected its first openly transgender congressman, Sarah McBride.

In the Senate, media outlets projected wins for Democrats Angela Alsobrooks in Maryland and Lisa Blunt Rochester in Delaware, marking the first time two black women will serve in the Senate at the same time.
