UBS CEO: UBS is adopting a "fast follower" strategy in the tokenized asset space.

PANews reported on February 4th, citing Bloomberg, that UBS CEO Sergio Ermotti stated during an earnings call that the bank is considering offering cryptocurrency access to individual clients, while emphasizing that it will not act as a "pioneer" in blockchain-based technology applications. Ermotti pointed out that UBS is building core infrastructure and exploring a range of targeted services, from crypto access for individual clients to tokenized deposit solutions for corporate clients. He stated that UBS is adopting a "fast follower" strategy in the tokenized asset space, with related business expansion expected to unfold over the next three to five years, complementing its traditional business.

In January, it was reported that UBS Group planned to offer cryptocurrency trading services to some clients .
