PANews reported on January 12 that according to The block, New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a lawsuit accusing a cryptocurrency fraud gang of stealing at least $2.2 million from the New York people through fake remote work opportunities. James plans to serve lawsuits against suspected scammers by airdropping NFTs into wallets controlled by scammers. A press release from the Attorney General's Office stated: "NFT's service will provide scammers with notice of the lawsuit, providing them with a link to the [Attorney General's Office] website containing all the complaints." "No other state or federal regulator has used this method to file a lawsuit before."
