PANews reported on November 20 that according to Cointelegraph, a BBC investigation showed that Internet celebrity Logan Paul was accused of profiting from promoting cryptocurrencies without disclosing his financial interests. The allegations link Paul to suspicious cryptocurrency transactions and ethical controversies, mainly focusing on his recommendation of high-risk tokens such as Elongate and Ink Doink, and his failed NFT project CryptoZoo. The BBC investigation allegedly found evidence linking Paul to an anonymous crypto wallet, which was obtained through transactions related to Paul's public wallet. The anonymous wallet allegedly purchased the tokens before Paul promoted them to his 23 million YouTube followers and sold them at a profit after the price soared.

The BBC attempted to interview Paul about the allegations, but the interview took a bizarre turn. A man who looked like Paul allegedly showed up at the gym he co-owned with his brother in Puerto Rico, posing as Paul for the interview. Furthermore, when the BBC team went to the gym, they found multiple hidden cameras pointed at them. Even more bizarre, when the BBC team asked "whether the real Paul would come," a group of people suddenly appeared, holding banners and shouting that the BBC was a "pedophile," trying to disrupt the interview.

Earlier in January, internet celebrity Logan Paul promised to provide refunds to users of the suspected fraudulent NFT project CryptoZoo on the condition that they give up suing it .
