PANews reported on May 2 that according to Jinshi, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics revised the number of new non-agricultural jobs in February from 117,000 to 102,000; the number of new non-agricultural jobs in March was revised from 228,000 to 185,000. After the revision, the total number of new jobs in February and March was 58,000 lower than before the revision.
In addition, the U.S. non-farm payrolls increased by 177,000 in April, higher than the expected 130,000. The U.S. unemployment rate remained stable at 4.2% in April, in line with market expectations.
