PANews reported on May 24 that according to The Block, Polygon co-founder Mihailo Bjelic announced his withdrawal from project development and resigned as a director of the foundation. He said on the social platform X that as the project matured, there were divergences in vision and he decided to withdraw from daily operations, but he would still support the development of Polygon in other ways. Bjelic was one of the four co-founders of Polygon (formerly Matic Network) in 2017, and this departure marks the exit of the third founder of the project. In 2023, the other two co-founders, Jaynti Kanani and Anurag Arjun, left one after another. Current co-founder Sandeep Nailwal posted a thank you post on X, saying that Bjelic was not only a co-founder, but also a brother, and recalled the experience of starting a business together in the early days.
