PANews reported on October 6th that NFT collector punk6529 published a post sharing his thoughts on PunkStrategy (PS). He believes PS is an inventory-based market-making mechanism (buying and selling), not simply a buy-and-hold DAT. Compared to the net asset value logic of traditional finance, PS should be viewed more as a "profit stream" and understood similarly to the price-to-earnings ratio. Market-making funds are generated through token transaction taxes and then re-listed at a higher price. PS can be profitable in a rising market, but not in a falling market. If one is bullish on CryptoPunks in the long term, PS can also be profitable, but it's not as profitable as simply holding. This mechanism is more beneficial to the long-term floor price of CryptoPunks than to the PS token itself. Regardless of success or failure, PunkStrategy, as part of a "net art experiment," has been embedded on-chain and will exist permanently. Similar experiments are expected to emerge in the future.
Opinion: PunkStrategy may be beneficial to the long-term floor price of CryptoPunks, and similar experiments will continue to emerge
