PANews reported on February 11 that according to Bitcoin News, former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra proposed to develop Phuket into a Bitcoin sandbox area, allowing foreign tourists to use Bitcoin to pay for real estate and tourism-related expenses without being restricted by cash.
