US media: Trump finalizes Warsh as the next Federal Reserve Chairman after meeting and phone call.

PANews reported on January 30th that, according to a report by the Washington Post cited by Jinshi, sources revealed that on Thursday, local time, US President Trump met with former Federal Reserve Governor and Stanford University professor Walsh and then called Walsh to ask if he would accept the position—which he ultimately accepted. It was also reported that BlackRock executive Rick Reid, previously a leading candidate for the next Federal Reserve Chairman, was informed on Thursday, according to sources close to him, that he would not receive the appointment.
