Tether open-sources its wallet development toolkit (WDK) to promote autonomous financial infrastructure shared by humans and machines.

PANews reported on October 17 that Tether announced the open source release of its Wallet Development Kit (WDK), which aims to enable humans, machines, and AI agents to independently build, deploy, and use multi-chain self-managed wallets to achieve decentralized finance, payment, savings, and prediction market functions.

WDK supports multiple blockchain ecosystems, including Bitcoin, Lightning, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, TON, and Solana, and features cross-chain asset transfers, a DeFi module, a customizable interface, and secure key management. Tether claims its upcoming self-managed wallet, Rumble Wallet, is built on WDK, a fully open-source framework with no fee restrictions.
