Global bank presidents hold talks on Trump tariff crisis

PANews reported on April 7 that according to Sky News, CEOs of some of the world's largest banks held private talks on the financial markets and global economic havoc caused by Trump's tariff blitzkrieg. The bosses of banks such as Bank of America, Barclays, Citigroup and HSBC Holdings held a conference call on Sunday to discuss the ongoing chaos as the stock market plunge reflected concerns about a global recession. Sources said Sunday's meeting was convened by the Banking Policy Center (BPI), a Washington-based public policy organization. One source said the call was designed to enable U.S. banking executives to outline their views on the ongoing tariff chaos to their international counterparts.
