PANews reported on February 7 that according to The block, Tornado Cash developer Alexey Pertsev tweeted that he would end pretrial detention on February 7 (local time) in order to start appeal work. Last year, the Tornado Cash developer was sentenced to 64 months in prison by a Dutch court for assisting in the laundering of $1.2 billion in cryptocurrency through the Tornado Cash mixer between July 2019 and August 2022. Pertsev has appealed the verdict.
