Illinois has proposed a "Community Bitcoin Reserve Act" to establish a state-level Bitcoin reserve.

PANews reported on February 6th that, according to market sources, the state of Illinois has proposed a "Community Bitcoin Reserve Act." This act aims to establish a state-level program to store Bitcoin in multi-signature cold wallets, starting with the Altgeld Bitcoin Reserve. Without the approval of this new legislation, Bitcoin cannot be traded or sold.
