According to PANews on February 24, Merlin Chain will officially start the third phase of PoS Prestage staking at 14:00 GMT today. In this phase, the upper limit of single-period staking will be cancelled, and the annualized rate of return will be anchored at 15% in the long term.

After the subsequent PoS mainnet upgrade, it will support BTC/MBTC dual-asset staking and governance voting, opening up the liquidity of the Bitcoin ecosystem. In addition, the PoS upgrade will further expand the number of network validators, which will help further enhance the decentralization and security of Merlin Chain.
