PANews reported on February 6 that Belarusian blogger Ilya "Nowkie" created the satirical "virtual bank" project FPI Bank in October 2024 and issued tokens on Blum Memepad, initially investing $1,900. Today, the market value has exceeded $50 million. FPI Bank was originally a satirical project, and the website contained humorous slogans, false employee information, and spoof comments such as "Your funds are never safe" and "Unexpected expenses". The concept quickly became popular on TikTok, attracting 363,000 visits. Subsequently, Nowkie issued tokens on the grounds of "just for fun", with a market value of $13,700 on the first day, and exceeded $100,000 within 40 minutes of the live broadcast on December 8.
As of February 1, the token's market value exceeded $20 million. On February 3, Nowkie revealed that his wallet once held $2.8 million, and the highest was $6 million. Currently, the token ranks third in the TON blockchain, with a market value of $50 million (data from Coingecko).
Nowkie refused to cash out, choosing to distribute some of the tokens to community members and fan artists, and said he would continue to promote the project. On February 7, he will share his experience and future plans with Blum co-founder Vladimir Smerkis in the Blum Memepad live broadcast.
