据路透社消息，欧盟的两份文件显示，到2024年，欧盟将引入新的制度，通过使用区块链和加密资产(如稳定币)，使跨境支付更快、更便宜。此外，欧盟委员会将制定其战略，以鼓励在欧元区占比78％的现金支付更多地使用数字金融，因为新冠疫情期间的封锁显示出无现金支付的作用越来越大。
