10月12日消息，美国司法部（DOJ）警告称，比特币以及相关加密货币的出现对美国国家安全构成越来越大的威胁。同时，司法部长William Barr领导的网络及数字特别工作组则称其为“即将到来的风暴的第一滴雨点”。网络数字特别工作组在一份报告中表示，比特币和加密货币对执法活动构成了新的挑战。此前10月9日消息，美国司法部已公布加密货币执法框架。
