数字资产管理公司灰度（Grayscale Investments）进行的一项调查显示，投资者对比特币的兴趣正在上升，比特币正朝着主流货币的方向发展。灰度周二发布的比特币投资者研究报告显示，超过一半（55%）的美国投资者对2020年购买比特币感兴趣。数据还显示，大多数比特币投资者在过去12个月内进行了投资，其中38％的投资者在过去4个月内进行投资，26％的投资者时间在5至6个月前，19％的投资者7-12个月前进行了投资。研究表明，比特币投资最强劲的驱动力是冠状病毒大流行，疫情激发了63％的受访者进行投资。
