PANews reported on April 27 that according to News.Bitcoin, Johnson Asiama, Governor of the Central Bank of Ghana, stated in Washington that the central bank will set up a dedicated digital asset department and plans to start regulating cryptocurrencies and related platforms by the end of September 2025 after the passage of the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act. He emphasized that the trend of blockchain technology is unstoppable.
