PANews reported on January 27 that according to official news, Sahara AI announced that it will use DeepSeek-R1 as one of the flagship models of its AI Studio, which will be launched simultaneously with other AI models in the first quarter of this year. An early access plan for developers has also been launched simultaneously.
DeepSeek was founded in 2023 by Zhejiang University alumnus Liang Wenfeng. Sahara AI CEO and co-founder Sean is also a Zhejiang University alumnus, and later went to Stanford University and the University of Southern California for further studies.
The 671B parameter reasoning expert released by DeepSeek-R1 excels in math, coding and logic tasks and uses reinforcement learning technology. Currently, DeepSeek-R1 ranks 4th in Chatbot Arena and is the only open source model in the top 10 (except DeepSeek-V3). Its open source release further promotes the democratization of cutting-edge AI technology, which is highly consistent with Sahara AI's vision.
