South Korean court orders users to return excess Bitcoin taken from Coinone in 2018

PANews reported on July 3 that according to Economist, South Korean crypto exchange Coinone won a civil appeal case involving a system failure in 2018, which allowed users to repeatedly withdraw Bitcoin. In a ruling issued in May, the Seoul Court ordered the relevant users to return all Bitcoin obtained due to the failure. The incident occurred in October 2018, when the transaction price of Bitcoin against the Korean won on the Coinone exchange was about 7.08 million to 7.87 million won (about US$5,200 to US$5,800), which is about one twentieth of the current value of Bitcoin.
