PANews reported on December 4th that, according to Austrian media outlet oe24, a murder involving cryptocurrency occurred in Vienna on November 26th. The victim was a 21-year-old Ukrainian man, allegedly the son of the deputy mayor of Kharkiv. He was coerced by two fellow Ukrainians into handing over his cryptocurrency wallet password, then robbed, beaten to death, and his body burned with gasoline. His wallet's assets were also emptied. The suspects (aged 19 and 45) fled back to Ukraine and were arrested; the case has been transferred to Ukrainian authorities for trial.
