Tether nominates executives to Juventus board, seeking to expand influence at the club

PANews reported on October 17th that, according to Cointelegraph, Tether announced in an announcement on Thursday that it had nominated its Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Zachary Lyons, and Francesco Garino, an orthodontist and "lifelong Juventus supporter," to join the football club's board of directors. Tether stated: "Since announcing our investment in the club, we have listened carefully to the voices of fans in Italy and around the world, receiving valuable suggestions, feedback, and calls for deeper cooperation. We have proposed, and will vote at the general meeting of shareholders, certain amendments to the Articles of Association and the adoption of best-in-class corporate governance and minority representation mechanisms." After investments in February and April, Tether held a 10.7% stake in Juventus.
