PANews reported on January 9th that, according to Bitcoin News, Superheat has launched a $2,000 electric water heater capable of mining Bitcoin. The device consumes the same energy as a regular water heater, but it uses an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) mining rig to recoup costs, thus offsetting some of the hot water expenses. However, the company's promotional materials do not yet list information such as power output and TH/s.
