Argentina busts major cryptocurrency money laundering ring: approximately 1.8 trillion pesos involved, three arrested.

PANews reported on December 18th that, according to CriptoNoticias , Argentine police have dismantled a criminal network involved in obtaining loans from private banks through forged documents, transferring the funds to crypto platforms, converting them into crypto assets, and then transferring them to digital wallets. Some transactions were disguised as "crypto arbitrage." Officials confirmed that the amount involved exceeded approximately 1.8 trillion Argentine pesos (about US$ 1.2 billion), with affected companies concentrated in the agricultural and industrial sectors. The individuals involved were not registered with the local PSAV . The judicial authorities conducted eight searches in Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires Province, and Santa Fe, arresting three people and notifying two others, seizing cash, electronic devices, and related documents.
