PANews reported on October 31 that, according to Bitcoin News, Canaan Inc. announced a 4.5MW contract in Japan to deploy Avalon water-cooled Bitcoin mining machines for real-time grid load balancing and energy optimization. Led by a large regional utility, the facility will utilize Canaan's smart control chips to dynamically adjust voltage, frequency, and hashrate to stabilize the grid and improve efficiency. It is expected to be operational by the end of 2025.
