PANews reported on June 3 that according to The Block, Consensys has acquired wallet infrastructure provider Web3Auth, aiming to simplify MetaMask seed phrase management and improve user experience through Web2 login. The transaction details were not disclosed. The integration will also accelerate support for non-EVM chains such as Solana and Bitcoin, and full Bitcoin functionality is expected to be launched in Q3. Web3Auth services cover more than 500,000 end users, and this move also strengthens MetaMask's global layout, especially in the Asian market.
