PANews reported on February 5 that according to TechinAsia, hotel search service platform Trivago has partnered with blockchain-based company Travala to allow users to book accommodation using cryptocurrencies. This partnership will add Travala's more than 2.2 million property inventories in 230 countries to the Trivago platform. Trivago users can pay with more than 100 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Travala members will be directed to Trivago to complete their bookings and use its AVA smart program, which offers discounts and rewards. The partnership expands Travala's reach alongside major platforms such as Expedia and Booking.com, supporting the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the travel industry.
