메타마스크 공동창업자 댄 핀레이(Dan Finlay)가 최근 트위터를 통해 "애플의 수수료 정책은 산업 독점"이라며 "애플 생태계를 버릴 준비가 돼 있다"고 강조했다. 그는 애플이 NFT 전송에 필요한 가스비(Gas Fee)를 애플 앱스토어를 통해 결제하고 30%의 수수료를 요구하는 것은 일관성이 없는 것이라고 비난했다. 앞서 코인베이스는 "애플이 앱 등록을 막고 있어서, 이용자들이 코인베이스 월렛 iOS 버전으로 NFT를 전송하는 것이 불가한 상태"라고 밝혔다.
