게이트아이오가 멀티체인(MULTI) 관련 익스포저(노출)로 인해 위기에 빠졌다는 루머에 대해 사실이 아니라고 부인했다. 게이트아이오는 성명을 통해 "루머와 달리 우리는 운영이나 출금 등에 문제가 없다. 현재 홍콩 거래 플랫폼 Gate.HK 출범에 집중하고 있다"고 말했다. 최근 블록체인 분석업체 0xScope가 "멀티체인 팀 관련 주소에서 317만 달러 상당의 494,200 MULTI가 게이트아이오 거래소 주소로 이체됐다"고 전하면서, 게이트아이오는 운영 위기설에 휩싸였었다. 멀티체인은 자오쥔 멀티체인 CEO와 연락이 닿지 않아 유지관리에 필요한 서버 액세스 권한을 확보하지 못하고 있는 상태다.
