싱가포르, 개인투자자 '암호화폐 대출·스테이킹' 이용 금지

블룸버그 통신에 따르면 싱가포르 통화청(MAS)이 개인 투자자에 대한 암호화폐 대출·스테이킹 서비스 이용을 금지하기로 결정했다. 미디어는 "MAS는 FTX 사태 이후인 지난해 10월부터 이같은 방안을 논의했던 것으로 알려졌다. 아울러 MAS는 현지 암호화폐 거래소들에게 올 연말까지 고객 자산을 신탁에 보관할 것도 요구할 예정이다. 이는 개인과 기관의 암호화폐 시장 유입을 적극 장려하고 있는 홍콩 등과는 다른 행보"라고 설명했다. MAS는 "암호화폐 거래의 높은 위험성과 투기적인 특성을 고려했을 때, 단순 규제만으로는 소비자를 보호할 수 없다는 것이 우리의 판단"이라고 강조했다.
