암호화폐 전문 미디어 코인데스크가 "최근 입수한 한 홍보 자료에 따르면, 세계 최대 이더리움(ETH) 지갑 메타마스크가 마스터카드 기반 온체인 결제 카드를 테스트하고 있는 것으로 나타났다"고 12일 보도했다. 이와 관련 코인데스크는 "해당 마케팅 자료에서는 메타마스크와 마스터카드를 결합한 카드를 '진정한 탈중앙화 웹3 결제 솔루션'이라고 지칭하며 '사용자는 카드 결제가 허용되는 모든 곳에서 암호화폐를 사용할 수 있을 것'이라고 설명했다"고 부연했다.
