골드만삭스, 뉴욕멜론은행, 시카고옵션거래소(CBOE) 글로벌마켓 등 글로벌 은행들이 블록체인 네트워크 캔톤(Canton)에서 파일럿 테스트를 완료했다고 블룸버그가 전했다. 이들은 블록체인에서 토큰화 자산 거래, 펀드 등록, 레포(repo·환매조건부채권), 증거금 관리 등 350여건 모의 테스트를 진행했다. 캔톤은 금융 기술 업체 디지털애셋이 개발한 것으로, 기관 대상 탈중앙화 인프라를 제공하며, 스마트 컨트랙트 언어 'DAML'을 기반으로 구축된 애플리케이션을 연결한다. 앞서 코인니스는 캔톤 네트워크에 BNP파리바, 딜로이트, 골드만삭스, 미국 시카고옵션거래소(CBOE), 마이크로소프트 등이 합류한다고 전한 바 있다.
