CNBC에 따르면 제미니 공동 창업자인 카메론 윙클보스 및 타일러 윙클보스가 영국 소규모 축구 클럽에 수백만 달러를 투자했다고 발표했다. 이들은 리얼 베드포드 풋볼 클럽(Real Bedford Football Club, RBFC)에 450만 달러 상당의 비트코인을 투자했다며, "비트코인으로 운영되는 최초의 축구 클럽"이라고 설명했다. RBFC는 영국 베드포드의 비리그, 준프로 축구 클럽으로, 유명 비트코인 팟캐스트 진행자 피터 맥코막(Peter McCormack)이 2022년 인수한 바 있다. 클럽 확장을 위한 인프라 투자를 위해 이들 창업자에게 파트너 합류를 제안했다는 설명이다. 투자금은 훈련 센터 설립에 사용할 방침이다. 이와 관련해 카메론 윙클보스는 "피터 맥코막과 우리는 초기 비트코인 이용자라는 공통점을 가지고 있다"고 말했다.
