비트코인매거진이 X를 통해 "미국 의회가 증권거래위원회(SEC)에 비트코인 현물 ETF의 옵션 상품을 승인하라고 촉구하고 있다"고 전했다. SEC는 지난 4월 25일 BTC 현물 ETF 옵션이 주식 옵션과 동일한 규칙을 따르도록 규정해야 하는지 여부와 관련 대중 의견을 수렴하고 있다고 밝혔었다. 앞서 뉴욕증권거래소(NYSE)는 BTC 현물 ETF 옵션 상장을 SEC에 신청했으며, 승인 여부 결정일은 5월 29일(현지시간)로 예정돼있다.
