크립토슬레이트에 따르면 나카모토 프로젝트가 설문조사를 진행한 결과, 비트코인 보유자 사이에 뚜렷한 정치 편향은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 응답자 가운데 자신을 매우 진보적인 정치 성향이라고 응답한 비율은 21.9%였다. 매우 보수적이라는 응답은 17.6%였다. 중도 성향은 14.3% 수준으로 집계됐다. 매우 진보적, 대체로 진보적이라는 응답을 합한 비율은 45%였고, 반대 성향은 41%였다. 이번 설문은 미국 성인 3,583명을 대상으로 진행됐다.
