암호화폐 트레이딩 업체 겸 자산운용사 갤럭시(Galaxy)의 리서치 총괄 알렉스 쏜(Alex Thorn)이 X를 통해 "오는 7월 25일(현지시간) 미국 내슈빌에서 개최되는 비트코인 컨퍼런스에 최소 7명의 현직 미국 상원의원이 참석한다"고 전했다. 이번 행사에는 현재까지 공화당 대선후보인 도널드 트럼프 전 대통령, 무소속 대선후보 로버트 F. 케네디 주니어가 참석을 확정했다. 또 주최 측은 조 바이든 미국 대통령이 민주당 대선 후보로 지명한 카말라 해리스 부통령 캠페인 측과도 참석 및 연설 여부를 논의 중이라고 밝힌 바 있다.
