코인텔레그래프가 인도의 암호화폐 미래는 9월 발표가 예정된 경제부(DEA)의 협의 문서에 의해 좌우될 것이라고 분석했다. 미디어는 "해당 문서가 인도의 암호화폐 규제 분수령이 될 것으로 예상된다. 이를 통해 포괄적인 암호화폐 입법 토대도 마련할 수 있을 것"이라고 설명했다. 이어 "인도 증권거래위원회(SEBI)와 인도 중앙은행(RBI)이 제기한 문제를 포함하여 암호화폐 규제를 둘러싼 광범위한 우려도 해결될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다"고 덧붙였다. 인도는 미실현 암호화폐 수익에 30%의 세금을 부과하고 원천징수세(TDS) 1%를 부과하는 엄격한 세금 제도를 도입한 바 있다.
