영국 시장 조사 기업 주니퍼 리서치(Juniper Research)가 공식 채널을 통해 "오는 2031년에는 중앙은행 발행 디지털화폐(CBDC) 사용 결제 건수가 78억 건에 달해 2024년(3억 건) 대비 2,430% 증가할 것이다. 이 같은 추세는 카드 및 스테이블코인에 대항하려는 각국 중앙은행이 주도할 것이며, 엠브릿지, 아이스브레이커 등의 CBDC 협업 프로젝트 전개에 따라 기존 결제 시스템에 대한 의존도도 낮아질 것"이라고 전망했다.
