블룸버그는 “암화화폐 업계가 올해 미국 선거에서 정당과 현직 여부를 가리지 않고 50명의 후보자를 지원하느데 1억 3500만 달러를 쏟아부었다”고 전했다. 그러면서 “미국 친암호화폐 정치후원회 슈퍼PAC인 페어쉐이크(Fairshake)가 지원한 후보 중 현재 48명이 승리를 확정지었으며, 남은 8개 선거구에서는 5명의 지지 후보가 선두를 유지하고 있다. 이로 인해 업계 내부에서는 승리를 만끽하고 있으며, 정치권에 대한 영향력이 커질 것이란 기대감이 부풀고 있다. 현재 페어쉐이크는 내년 중간선거를 대비해 다시 자금을 보충하고 있다”고 설명했다.
