크립토포테이토가 “트럼프 대통령의 당선이 암호화폐 시장에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있지만, 트럼프의 다양한 정책 목표가 암호화폐 이익에 부정적 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 우려가 제기되고 있다”고 진단했다. 이어 “트럼프 정책 중 하나인 취업 비자 제한은 국제적인 인재와 대면 글로벌 미팅에 의존하는 암호화폐를 비롯한 미국 기술 산업에 걸림돌이 될 수 있다. 또한 트럼프 정부는 현재 연방준비제도(Fed·연준)에서 발행한 중앙은행 디지털화폐(CBDC)에 회의적인 태도를 보이고 있지만, 미국 경제가 위기에 처한다고 판단될 경우 글로벌 스텐스를 따라 CBDC 도입에 대한 입장을 바꿀 가능성도 있다. 트럼프 행정부의 모든 결정이 암호화폐에 우호적이지는 않을 것”이라고 설명했다.
