코인텔레그래프에 따르면 미국 증권거래위원회(SEC)가 분산형 검색 엔진 비트클레이브(BitClave) 2017년 ICO에 참여한 투자자를 대상으로 460만 달러의 배상금을 지급했다. 이는 비트클레이브가 미등록 ICO 진행 관련 2020년에 SEC와 합의한 배상금의 일부다. 당시 비트클레이브는 ICO로 모금한 2500만 달러를 반환하고 40만 달러의 벌금을 납부할 것을 약속한 바 있다. ICO 투자자는 9500명으로 알려졌다.
