유럽중앙은행, CBDC 개발 진행 보고서 공개..."개인정보 보호에 중점"

크립토슬레이트에 따르면 유럽중앙은행(ECB)이 중앙은행 발행 디지털화폐(CBDC) 개발에 관한 2번째 진행 보고서를 공개했다. 해당 보고서에서 ECB는 디지털 유로화가 기존 통화 및 경제 프레임워크에 원활하게 통합될 수 있도록 이해관계자들과 긴밀히 협력 중이라고 밝혔다. 이어 디지털 유로화 설계 시 개인정보 보호 및 유럽 개인정보보호법(GDPR) 등을 준수해야 한다고 강조했다. 한편 ECB는 오는 2025년부터 디지털 유로화 프로토타입 테스트를 개시할 방침이다.
