니케이아시아에 따르면 캄보디아 당국이 바이낸스와 코인베이스를 포함한 16개 암호화폐 거래소에 대한 웹사이트 접속을 차단했다. 단, 앱 접속은 차단하지 않은 것으로 알려졌다. 매체는 “캄보디아는 현재 암호화폐 규제 미비로 인해 자금세탁이 빈번하게 발생하고 있으며 이로 인해 국제사회로부터 압박을 받고 있다. 하지만 실제 불법적인 활동을 차단할 역량이 부족한 탓에 되려 암호화폐 거래소 웹사이트 접속 차단 조치를 내린 것으로 보인다”고 설명했다.
