미국 증권거래위원회(SEC) 아카이브에 따르면 마이크로스트래티지가 혼합형 증권 선반(Mixed Securities Shelf)등록을 신청했으며, 이를 통해 얻은 수익을 더 많은 비트코인을 인수하고 일반적인 기업 목적으로 사용할 계획이라고 밝혔다. 혼합형 증권 선반 등록은 다양한 종류의 증권을 한꺼번에 등록하고 필요한 시점에 발행할 수 있도록 준비해 두는 시스템으로, 유연성, 비용 절감, 시간 단축 등의 효과를 기대할 수 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
